The combined master of social work/master of public policy (M.S.W./M.P.P.) program offers students the opportunity to develop
advanced policy practice skills with a focus on social justice and social
welfare policy beyond the M.S.W. curriculum. Students will learn advanced policy
skills to identify public issues, policy analysis to determine alternative
solutions to those issues, and to become strong leaders in government,
politics, and public and private organizations. The program is in keeping with
social work's historical and growing emphasis on public policy concerns.
The dual degree is a three-year program with a total of 81 credits. Students
complete 36 credits through the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy and 45 credits with the School
of Social Work.
Successful candidates for the dual degree program will meet the admissions
requirements of both schools.
