Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs-Newark and New Brunswick 2024-2026 Degree Programs Part-Time M.B.A. Program Residency Requirement

Residency Requirement

Part-time M.B.A. students have eight years to complete the degree. Credit will not be given for any coursework taken more than eight years before the anticipated date for completion of the M.B.A. degree. No more than a total of 6 credits may be applied to the degree via transfer credits. All students are required to complete a minimum of 43 credits in residence at Rutgers' M.B.A program. To place out of core courses, students may take up to two challenge exams. If successful, these students may substitute upper-level courses in lieu of the core courses, but will still be required to take the requisite number of credits (49) to complete their degree.

RBS will NOT allow undergraduate credit to substitute for core and foundation course requirements.
