The School of Communication and Information offers a limited number of scholarships and awards to juniors and seniors majoring in the school's programs. Applications for these scholarships become available each spring, for funding in the following academic year.

In addition, a public speaking competition is held each year with monetary prizes, and each program recognizes a small number of students for academic excellence with financial awards.
