The three undergraduate majors currently offered by the School of Communication and Information are communication, information technology and informatics, and journalism and media studies. Each major leads to the bachelor of arts degree. The programs comprise courses of study to be taken during a student's junior and senior years, following completion of the school's premajor requirements. All students must satisfy the requirements of the major as well as the academic requirements of the four-year school through which they were admitted to the university (for most students this will be either the School of Arts and Sciences or the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences). Students maintain their affiliation with their undergraduate school while enrolled at the School of Communication and Information.
Students are urged to check the school's website (http://comminfo.rutgers.edu) for the latest requirements and course offerings. The school reserves the right, for any reason, to change or modify any course or program listed.
