The student body is represented by the
Douglass College Government Association (DCGA), whose purpose is "to
consolidate college activities into a closer union, to regulate the
life of students while under college jurisdiction, and to prepare
students to assume the duties of active world citizenship."
The legislative power of the student government is vested in an
assembly of student representatives from the four classes, the student
senators, the student representatives to the faculty fellows meetings,
and five executive officers. The assembly meetings are held weekly and
are open to all members of the university community.
