The Office of Student Services provides Rutgers College and
affiliated students with support and assistance as they meet the
challenges and demands of college. Students who live on campus are
provided with peer and professional staffs who promote the academic and
social success of residents in every hall and apartment through
programs and advising. Students who commute from home or live in
off-campus apartments are provided with similar services through
dedicated
staff and student advocacy groups. All students are provided with
counseling, advising, and referral through the Counseling Center and
the Student Support and Referral Program, for everything from
adjustment issues to health and emotional crises. Each area within
Student Services offers specialized assistance and coordinates with
other areas to provide efficient, seamless support to students. These
units within Student Services include:
-
Judicial Affairs, which addresses violations of academic and behavioral standards and promotes ethical behavior and good citizenship;
-
Off-Campus and Commuter Services, which provides outreach to students who live at home or in off-campus apartments;
-
Residence Life, which works to develop lively and academically supportive residence communities;
-
Rutgers College Counseling Center, which provides support for students to resolve personal or psychological problems or issues;
-
Services for Students with Disabilities, which
provides support for the social and academic needs of students with
physical, physiological, or learning disabilities;
-
Student Support and Referral Program, which provides assistance to students who are facing academic difficulties resulting from nonacademic issues.
