Louis Thompson is the associate dean for Student Affairs for the Rutgers Law School in Camden, where he works to ensure students have an engaging and fulfilling law school experience. Prior to that he served as an assistant dean at Temple University's Beasley School of Law first, in career services and then as head of the law school's international and graduate programs.
Dean Thompson earned his J.D. from Temple in 2001, then served as an associate at Dechert. He clerked for U.S. District Court Judge Mary McLaughlin in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania before returning to Temple. Before and during law school, he wrote and reviewed LSAT test questions for the Law School Admission Council. Dean Thompson has an M.A. in philosophy from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a B.S. from Northeastern University.
