Ordinarily, earning bachelor of arts (B.A.) and master of public administration (M.P.A.) degrees at
Rutgers University-Camden requires six years and 162 credits (120
undergraduate and 42 graduate credits) of full-time study. Under this
accelerated program, the same result is achieved in five years with 150
credits, by counting up to three courses for the M.P.A. as well as the B.A.
Once
accepted into the B.A./M.P.A. program, admission to the master's
program is guaranteed, provided that a student maintains a satisfactory grade-point average. During the first semester of the student's fourth year, she or he formally
files an application for admission to the Graduate Department of Public Policy and Administration (DPPA) and will become a graduate student upon receipt of the B.A. degree.

degree of master of public administration has provided hundreds of
students with a first-class education, extensive contacts with alumni at all levels of government, entry into a career in public
service, and help with career advancement, a pathway to law
school, and preparation for doctoral study.
