Foreign Languages and Literatures.
  Intermediate and advanced instruction in how to read, write, and speak European languages, and courses--many in English--on literature, film, and civilization, from the Middle Ages to the present. Books by Honoré de Balzac, Thomas Mann, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, and Cervantes. The culture of Paris, Berlin, St. Petersburg, and Madrid.
