Credit toward an English major or minor is given only
for English department courses in which a student receives a grade of
C or better. A student may satisfy specific
requirements with a grade of D, but the 3 credits for that course
may not be included in the 42 required for the major. Any additional
3-credit English department course may be taken to make up the
deficit.
Students are advised to complete 50:350:220, 221, 222, and 50:090:238 before enrolling in more advanced English courses.
