Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) Program

The doctor of philosophy program in public administration trains prospective faculty and researchers. Before enrolling, applicants must have received a master's of public administration degree or other relevant master's degree, for example in political science, social work, education, law, or public health. Areas of possible specialization are varied but include public management, performance measurement, public budgeting and finance, human resource management, comparative public administration, experimental and behavioral public administration, and intellectual and legal foundations of public administration.
