The School of Management and Labor Relations (SMLR) offers a variety of continuing education programs for professionals.

Continuing education programs at the Rutgers School of Management and Labor Relations develop and deliver innovative learning and development solutions that strengthen and advance the individual, workforce, and organization as a whole. Our programs provide a rich learning environment through a powerful combination of expert class instruction and peer interaction, led by distinguished Rutgers University faculty, thought leaders, and industry experts.

Courses and workshops are available for individuals to enhance their knowledge and skills, and a robust portfolio of corporate programs can be tailored to a variety of workplace settings.

More information is available on the SMLR website at: https://smlr.rutgers.edu/continuing-education.

Labor Education and Research Now (LEARN) offers a wide range of noncredit and continuing education training programs for union members and management representatives, as well as the organizations and professions that are associated with these groups. LEARN students are emerging leaders across the state of New Jersey who want to enhance their personal knowledge and workplace skills. The individuals enrolled in LEARN programs are as diverse as the industries in which they work, including building trades, education, safety, customer service, telecommunications, health care, and government. LEARN also offers a Public Sector Labor-Management Relations Certificate Program that is jointly sponsored by the New Jersey Public Employment Relations Commission (PERC) and SMLR. All courses are taught by Rutgers University faculty, PERC staff, and experienced labor-management professionals. The classes are open to all interested members of the public sector labor-management community. Participants will earn an Achievement Certificate from Rutgers University.
