The minor in international affairs requires 21 credits as follows:
1. Prerequisite: foreign language; successful completion of the intermediate course 132
or its equivalent preparation, demonstrated through a proficiency
examination.
2. Core Courses:
a. 21&62:220:335 International Economic Relations (3) or
21&62:790:317 International Political Economy (3)
b. 21&62:512:398 American Foreign Affairs (3)
c. 21&62:790:321 World Politics (3)
d. 6 credits in foreign literature at the 205,206 level
3. Two additional courses at the 300 or 400 level, in one of the
cooperating disciplines, selected in consultation with an adviser (6
credits).

The civilization course in the target foreign language area or study
abroad with an approved college program is strongly recommended.
Note: The student majoring in one of the cooperating disciplines
may count no more than 6 credits of this minor toward the major.
