Reference librarian (foreign, comparative, and international legal research)
Mr. Kim-Prieto provides reference services and library instruction and teaches a course on foreign, comparative, and international legal research. He took his M.S. in library and information science from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and his J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law. He has also earned a master of fine arts degree in English from the Writers' Workshop at the University of Iowa.
He is active with the American Association of Law Libraries (AALL), having served on AALL's Copyright Committee, and chaired both AALL's Latino Caucus and its Diversity Committee. He has also served two terms on the Law Student Research Competencies Task Force. His research interests include bilingual legal dictionaries, Spanish-language legal databases, and measuring information literacy among law students.
