The minimum credit load for a full-time student is 12 credits. A student declaring full-time status must sign an affirmation each semester stating that he or she will not engage in outside employment of more than 20 hours during any week classes or examinations are conducted. A part-time student must register for a minimum of 8 credits. Residency credit is not earned from a course load of 7 or fewer credits in one semester.
The maximum credit load for a full-time student is 16 credits per semester. For a part-time student, the maximum is 11 credits per semester. Permission to enroll for more than the maximum credit load must be given by the Associate Dean for Student Affairs.
