The rules of the School of Law-Newark governing scholastic standing, including statements on academic probation and dismissal, may be found
in the Student Handbook,
which is revised and published on the Law School webpage the beginning
of each academic year. Generally, a student whose cumulative GPA of less
than 2.33 is on probation and whose whose GPA is less than 2.0 may be
subject to dismissal. All students whose GPA is below a 2.67 are under
the jurisdiction of the Committee on Scholastic Standing, and may be
guided in their course selection by the Associate Dean for Student Affairs. You must have a
minimum GPA of 2.33 to graduate.
