Analytical Physics sequence:
- Extended Analytical Physics (01:750:115,116) - first 2 semesters
of 4-semester sequence with calculus. For students placed in
pre-calculus. Primarily for Engineering majors and physics and
astrophysics majors with limited high school physics.
- Analytical Physics (01:750:123,124) - first 2 semesters of
4-semester sequence with calculus. For students placed in calculus.
Primarily for Engineering majors and physics and astrophysics majors
with limited high school physics.
- Analytical Physics 01:75:227,228 and 01:750:229,230 labs. Final
2 semesters of 4 semester sequence with. Pre-requisites: 01:750:116
or 124 and 01:640:152; co-req: 01:640:Calc3.
Honors Physics sequence
- Honors Physics 01:750:271, 272, 273 and 275,276 labs.
3-semester sequence for Honors Engineering students and physics and
astrophysics majors with strong high school physics background and
permission of the undergraduate program director. Co-requisite in first
semester is 01:640:Calc1; students required to progress through the
calculus sequence
If there is any doubt about which sequence to take, please
contact the Physics and Astronomy Undergraduate Program Director for
advising. If a course is taken in one of these sequences, credit cannot
also be given for a course (in another sequence) that covers
substantially similar topics. Students who wish to switch from one
sequence to another should consult the Physics and Astronomy Undergraduate Program Director for advising, as should students who change their major or who have advanced standing.
