Departmental Honors

The Department of Human Resource Management (HRM) offers a departmental honors program for those students who excel in the HRM major core courses. The HRM departmental honors program is a separate curriculum from the general HRM major program. Students who wish to apply to the HRM departmental honors program (37-533H) must do so toward the end of their junior year and must first have declared the general HRM major. Other criteria for acceptance can be found on the Departmental Honors 37-533H curriculum webpage.

During the senior year, HRM honors students conduct an original research project under the supervision of a faculty adviser and senior thesis committee. The distinction of highest honors, high honors, and honors are awarded at graduation.

Students who successfully complete the HRM departmental honors curriculum and wish to enter into the master's in human resource management program (M.H.R.M) will have the GRE/GMAT requirement waived. Application to the M.H.R.M. must take place within five years after completion of the undergraduate degree.

More information regarding the eligibility criteria, requirements, and general overview of the HRM departmental honors program is found at http://smlr.rutgers.edu/content/departmental-honors-37-533h.
