Students wishing to major in biological sciences must have completed two semesters of general biology, including laboratory, with a grade of C or better in each course. Both semesters of general biology must have been completed at the same institution or on the same campus at Rutgers. No more than two courses with a grade of D may be used to fulfill the requirements of the major. A 2.0 GPA must be maintained in the life sciences "core and elective courses" applied toward the major.
Students must meet with an adviser before they can successfully declare their major.
