Graduate students may qualify for financial assistance from Mason Gross, as determined by departmental need, student need, and artistic/academic merit. In most cases, financial assistance is contingent upon engagement in work that contributes to the department or school. In some cases depending on eligibility, qualifications, and experience, graduate students may receive experience teaching under the supervision of a faculty mentor or appointments as part-time lecturers.
Continuation of graduate financial awards is dependent on success in the program, including a semester G.P.A. of 3.0 or better, satisfactory artistic standing, and fulfillment of the responsibilities of the work assignment. Decisions about the allocation of funds for graduate financial awards are made by the Mason Gross dean's office in consultation with the department administration.
