The program of
study leading to the master of music (M.M.) degree in music education is designed for
practicing music teachers who possess a bachelor's degree in music education (or equivalent) with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0, a teaching certificate in music education, and have at least
one year of full-time K-12 music teaching experience. Required

credits) in music theory and music history, to be selected with the graduate adviser's approval.
3. Master's Capstone in Music Education (3). The Capstone instructor will provide students with instructions for completing the Capstone Presentation and Project Approval Form.
Students in music
education are not guaranteed lessons but may take them if space is available following an audition with the appropriate area faculty.
