Any disciplinary decisions such as removal from the program may be appealed by the student. Whenever possible, student academic appeals are handled within the program. The student should take the issue to the department chair or program director for review and mediation. The chair or director consults with all parties and proposes a resolution. If this is unsuccessful, the matter is referred to the appropriate Graduate School of Education Committee on Admissions and Scholastic Standing as designated in the Graduate School of Education bylaws.
