Any course
numbered 500 or above is designed for graduate students and normally carries
credit toward one of the graduate degrees. Certain advanced undergraduate
courses numbered in the 300s and 400s also may be approved for a given graduate
student, either as a regular part of his or her graduate program or as a means
of remedying a deficiency in preparation. When a graduate student is permitted
or requested to enroll in a course numbered below 500, explicit approval by the
student's adviser is required, and the credit prefix G, N, or E appears on the
transcript. Graduate School of Education students are charged graduate tuition
for all courses.
