Foundations in Medical and Health Professions Education (3)
Survey course for students,
residents, and faculty in medical, nursing, pharmacy, and other health
professions schools as well as graduate students interested in the opportunities
in interdisciplinary health professions education. Provides learners with the knowledge and skills to create learning materials,
deliver learning sessions in multiple settings and in multiple formats, and
address needs of their learners. All of the sessions will incorporate active
learning and there will be significant interaction among learners. The course
will provide a framework for curriculum development, delivery, and assessment
in the context of accreditation and prepare students for an understanding of academics and health care.

Psychology of Learning (3)
Introduction
to psychological theories of human learning including behavioral, social, and
cognitive theories of learning. Principles of learning, mediation, and transfer
as deduced from these theories. Applications to a variety of settings
considered, including classrooms and information setting.
