Timothy Cleary


Ph.D., CUNY Graduate School and University Center

Timothy Cleary is currently an Associate Professor in the School Psychology Department within the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology. He earned his B.S.in psychology from Manhattan College, his M.S degree and professional certification in school psychology from Queens College, and his Ph.D. in educational psychology from the CUNY Graduate Center.

Dr. Cleary is a member of several editorial boards including the Journal of School Psychology, Journal of Educational Psychology, and Psychology in the Schools and serves as an ad hoc reviewer for many journals in school psychology, educational psychology, and sport psychology. He is a former training director of the School Psychology Program at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and has served in a leadership role on the executive board for the Studying and Self-Regulated Learning Special Interest Group of the American Educational Research Association for the past five years.
