Geraldine Oades-Sese is an assistant professor in the school psychology program at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology. She is a nationally certified school psychologist and is the founder and director of the Research Center for Resilience and Early Childhood Development. Her professional experience includes providing assessment and intervention services for gifted children, as well as developmentally delayed, multiply-handicapped, and medically-fragile infants, children, and adolescents. She authored a number of published book chapters in the Handbook of Multicultural School Psychology (2007), Handbook of Multicultural Assessment (2007), and The Praeger Handbook of Special Education (2007). Her research on resilience among at-risk preschool children was published in the Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences: Resilience in Children (2006). Her research was also presented at the New York Academy of Sciences and the Early Childhood Conference, and will be presented at the 2008 National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) Convention on Resilience.
