Dean's List
The dean's list recognizes current academic achievement. The list is published at the end of each semester. Full-time students are eligible if they have completed 12 or more credits for numerical grade credit with a semester grade-point average of 3.5 or better. Part-time students are eligible if they have completed 12 or more credits during the preceding academic year for numerical grade credit with a grade-point average of 3.5 or better.
Honors Societies
Athenaeum
The Athenaeum honor society was founded in 1952 by Rutgers professors Weismann and Wentz to encourage and recognize academic excellence on the Rutgers University-Camden campus. Candidates for membership must be in their junior or senior year at Rutgers-Camden. Juniors must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.7 and have completed at least 80 credits at Rutgers-Camden by the end of the fall semester of their junior year. Seniors must have a minimum GPA of 3.5 and 60 credits earned at Rutgers-Camden by the end of the fall semester of their senior year.
Beta Alpha Psi, Kappa Gamma Chapter
An honors organization for financial information students and professionals (all majors may apply). There are over 300 chapters and university campuses with over 300,000 members initiated since its formation in 1919.
Beta Gamma Sigma
This is an international honor society, by invitation only, recognizing the academic achievements of students enrolled in business programs accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International.
Mu Kappa Tau
National Marketing Honor Society. The purpose of Mu Kappa Tau is to recognize academic excellence and encourage individuals seeking lifetime commitment to an exceptional standard of ethics and achievement within the marketing discipline. Membership is by invitation only to qualified marketing majors who have demonstrated academic excellence.
New Jersey Collegiate Business Administration Honor Society
The New Jersey Collegiate Business Administration Association established a statewide honor society for students studying business at both the two- and four-year colleges in New Jersey. Each year, the top 1 percent of undergraduate students pursuing degrees in business are extended an invitation to join.
