Students planning to major in Spanish must include in their program 36 credits in Spanish courses beyond the elementary-level courses. In addition, they also must complete the following courses: 50:090:238 World Masterpieces I or 50:350:239 World Masterpieces II, and 50:510:101 Western Civilization I and 50:510:102 Western Civilization II.
Students planning on graduate study are advised to elect a second foreign language and should attain in it a level of proficiency equivalent to Intermediate II.
