Global Studies Courses

50:480:101 Introduction to Global Studies (3) This course introduces students to interdisciplinary analyses of contemporary global issues surrounding development and globalization such as social and economic inequalities, security, health, human rights, language, and sustainability. The analyses include historical, cultural, geographical, ecological, economic, political, and other perspectives. This course fulfills general education requirements in global communities.
50:480:291 Special Topics in Global Studies (3) A course on a selected topic, not offered in the regular curriculum.
50:480:380 Learning Abroad Global Studies (3) A course focusing on a cultural theme, including regular class meetings and appropriate assignments, as well as a short-term learning experience outside the United States. Both Learning Abroad and Learning Away courses (within the United States) are accepted in that category.
50:480:391 Special Topics in Global Studies (3) A course in a selected topic not offered in the regular curriculum.
