Newark College of Arts & Sciences and University College-Newark accept up to 45 credits for prior learning. To earn such credit, a student must demonstrate college-level knowledge comparable to that required in a Rutgers University-Newark course.
There are three methods whereby the student may obtain credit for prior learning.
1. College-Level Examination Program (CLEP)
2. Thomas Edison State University Credit by Examination Program (TECEP)
3. Thomas Edison State University Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) Portfolio Review
