Follows an introduction to multimedia in 21:086:342 with an emphasis on creating video
news stories and short documentaries.

Creating News Video for the Web (3)
This class is about telling stories with simple video techniques and sharing information.
Students will explore effective storytelling using video made with the new-generation mobile
phones or video cameras in concert with the written word. These techniques are in use
every day on major news websites.
The class will be conducted as though students are working in a professional newsroom
where meeting deadlines is critical. Professional standards will be used to judge projects
and all work must be publishable on a professional news website.
