Newark College of Arts and Sciences and University College-Newark
Liberal arts at Rutgers University–Newark includes two undergraduate colleges that operate as one: Newark College of Arts and Sciences (NCAS) and University College-Newark (UC-N). Taken together, they form the largest of the seven schools on campus, enrolling more than 60 percent of undergraduates and offering majors in nearly 40 fields.
NCAS serves college students who attend classes during the day, while UC-N is geared toward nontraditional students who work during the day and attend college part time, evenings, or on weekends.
Anchored by a world-class faculty strongly committed to both teaching and cutting-edge research, state-of-the-art life-science and arts facilities, and students who embody unparalleled diversity, NCAS and UC-N offer an outstanding liberal arts curriculum to undergraduate students in all the schools at Rutgers University–Newark, while providing excellence in preprofessional studies within NCAS and UC-N such as medicine and health, law, and social work. Students have the opportunity to participate in two Honors options, the Honors College and the Honors Living-Learning Community, as well as several joint and accelerated programs in medicine, law, public health, and the health professions (the latter in conjunction with the School of Health Professions).
NCAS and UC-N students enjoy an intimate educational experience with small class sizes, working closely with faculty both in the classroom and through undergraduate research opportunities. Rutgers Business School: Undergraduate-Newark
Rutgers Business School: Undergraduate-Newark is a four-year, undergraduate school that offers programs in accounting, finance, management and global business, management information systems, marketing, and supply chain management. All programs are accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. The business school faculty also provides education at Rutgers Business School: Graduate Programs-Newark and New Brunswick. Students benefit from the depth and breadth of knowledge held by faculty responsible for business education from the bachelor's degree to the doctoral level. Graduates gain an in-depth understanding of their area of concentration within the program curriculum; acquire knowledge of uses and applications of computers; learn to work in team settings to analyze and address complex problems; think critically and bring innovative approaches to problem solving; and gain an appreciation for international aspects of business. Coupled with their professional education, students receive a solid grounding in the liberal arts.

School of Public Affairs and Administration
Guided by the principles of knowledge, competence, diversity, service, and ethics, the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) applies an evidence-based approach to the effective, equitable, and accountable implementation of public policy. SPAA prepares students for careers in public service and administration, as well as in academic research and teaching by offering academic education programs at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
School of Criminal Justice
Students pursuing undergraduate degrees at Rutgers University can benefit from the expertise and opportunities for hands-on research and learning afforded to them through the Rutgers School of Criminal Justice. Students are prepared for further study in graduate or professional schools, or for careers in criminal justice. The School of Criminal Justice also offers accelerated programs that combine an undergraduate liberal arts education with professional study. Students from Rutgers and several other colleges and universities can participate in this program, focusing on their undergraduate studies during the first three years and spending the remainder of their time focusing on graduate studies.
