The botany major consists of 35 credits in biological sciences plus cognate courses in chemistry, physics, and mathematics. All courses required for a major in botany, including cognate courses, must be completed with a grade of C or better.
1. A minimum of 35 credits in the biological sciences is required for the botany major, including:

elective courses in the plant sciences (12 credits)
Nonmajor courses may not be used toward the botany major or minor.
