Students enrolled in the Rutgers Business School: Undergraduate-Newark
remain enrolled in their liberal arts college throughout their
undergraduate program, and are expected to complete the academic
requirements of both the Rutgers Business School: Undergraduate-Newark
and the liberal arts college.
To graduate, students must achieve a cumulative grade-point average of
2.5, as well as a grade-point average of 2.5 each term they are
registered. A student who fails to achieve a 2.5 grade-point average in
a given term is placed on probation. If the student fails to achieve a
2.5 grade-point average for a second term, the student is automatically
dismissed from the school. If a student on probation achieves a 2.5
grade-point average, but fails to bring his or her cumulative
grade-point average up to 2.5, the student remains on probation until
the next term when either the cumulative grade-point average is raised
to 2.5, in which case the student is removed from probation, or the
student fails to achieve a cumulative grade-point average of 2.5 for a
second term, in which case the student is dismissed from Rutgers
Business School: Undergraduate-Newark. The student remains in NCAS or
UC pending any scholastic standing action by those schools. Students on
probation are limited to a maximum of 12 credits per term.
