Academic Program Requirements
The Rutgers Business School: Undergraduate-Newark offers four majors
leading to the bachelor of science degree: accounting (010), finance
(390), management and global business (620), and marketing (630); and a
concentration in management science and information systems (623).
Students registered in the school are simultaneously matriculated at
one of the liberal arts colleges on the Newark campus--either Newark
College of Arts and Sciences or University College-Newark--where a core
of liberal arts courses in the humanities, sciences, social sciences,
mathematics, and the arts is completed.
Students who complete all program requirements are eligible to receive
a bachelor of science degree, awarded jointly by the Rutgers Business
School: Undergraduate-Newark and either the Newark College of Arts and
Sciences or University College-Newark.
Therefore, to earn the degree, students must complete course
requirements in four broad areas: (1) a liberal arts requirement, (2) a
business curriculum core requirement, (3) courses completed in the
major, and (4) electives as needed to reach a total of 124 credits.
