The
Post-Baccalaureate Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) Women's
Health/Gender-Related Nurse Practitioner Program is based at the Rutgers
Health campus in Newark, NJ. The Women's Health/Gender-Related Nurse
Practitioner provides a combination of theory and practicum experiences
that prepares graduates to be independent providers of full-scope health
care within this specialty.
Curriculum: This program is 72-credits with a minimum of 755 direct patient care practicum hours.

In addition to the successful completion of the above
course requirements, all DNP students must meet all the DNP projec
requirements set forth by the program.
*A student who does not complete their DNP project during
the project-related courses will be registered for a 1-credit project
continuation course in subsequent semesters until the project is
complete.
The minimum number of combined clinical practicum and DNP
project experience hours is 1,000. Students, however, may be required to
complete more than 1,000 hours to meet minimum competency requirements
for graduation and certification (when applicable).
