The Clearing Corporation Charitable Foundation Agribusiness Scholars Program is an endowed program at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences with the purpose of developing future leaders in the global agribusiness sector. The program is available to junior and senior students enrolled in any of the school's major programs who will have completed a minimum of 24 credits by the end of their sophomore year with a cumulative average of 3.0 or have been nominated by a faculty member at the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.
The scholars program will provide students with the applied knowledge, analytical skills, and experiences required for successful careers in the agribusiness sector. Through an integration of coursework, experiential learning, and engagement with agribusiness leaders, students will develop in-depth understanding of the domestic and international issues driving agricultural markets and the performance of the agribusiness sector.
Students accepted into the Agribusiness Scholars Program will complete 9 credits of required coursework. Students will also participate in academic enrichment, seminars, and networking events to allow interaction with leaders in the agribusiness sector and government.
