11:554:196 Honors Seminar I (3) The topic for each semester addresses current issues from the perspectives of the humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Open only to first-year students in the General Honors Program of the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.
11:554:296 Honors Seminar II (3) The topic for each semester addresses current issues from the perspectives of the humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Open only to sophomores or juniors in the General Honors Program of the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.
11:554:297,298 Honors Tutorial I,II (1,1) An independent study project on a topic agreed upon by the student and the cooperating faculty member. Short written report required at the end of each semester. Open only to sophomore students in the General Honors Program of the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.
11:554:300 Aresty Research Assist (1.5) The Aresty Research Assistant (RA) program matches students who are new to research to professors' current research projects for an academic year. Students develop problem-solving skills in research environments, learn to communicate research to diverse audiences, and build confidence in the social environment of research.

11:554:346 Environmental Documentation in Photography, Film, and Video (3) A study of the use of photographic documentation of environmental issues, as both a record of scientific data and an expression of humanistic concerns. Emphasis on documentary film.
11:554:347 Environmental Photography (4) Lecture/laboratory course that emphasizes the development of skills necessary for the production of photographic documents on environmental themes while exposing students to the history and traditions of photographic documentation in science and art. Students are required to provide their own digital camera, preferably with camera raw capability. Lec. 3 hrs., lab. 3 hrs.

11:554:397,398 Honors Tutorial III,IV (BA,BA) An independent study project in the student's field of interest, carried out with a cooperating faculty member. Written report required at the end of each semester. Open only to sophomores or juniors in the General Honors Program of the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences.
11:554:487,488 George H. Cook Scholars Program (3-6,3-6) A two-semester independent research project, culminating in an oral presentation to the faculty and a thesis preserved in the Chang Science Library. Open only to George H. Cook Scholar candidates.
