The 21-credit Certificate Program in Women's Global
Health Leadership offers a concentration of courses that examine the social,
economic, political, and environmental forces that are contributing to worsening
health and precarious existence in all regions of the world. Courses
investigate the relationship between macroeconomic restructuring and
neoliberal policies and the delivery of health care in the Global North and
South.
The certificate is open to matriculated Rutgers students, including
majors in women's and gender studies, and to non-Rutgers students enrolled in
the certificate program. To complete the certificate, students take 21 credits
from any of the following course offerings, including the internship:
