To declare a major in public health, students must apply to the Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy. To be accepted, a student must have a GPA of 2.50 or higher, and must have completed the following prerequisite courses with grades of C or better in each course:

01:160:161-162 General Chemistry (4,4)
01:160:171 Introduction to Experimentation (1)
10:762:205 Basic Statistical Methods or any 200-level or higher statistics course (3-4)
