A student who holds a credential equivalent to the baccalaureate degree in the United States from an accredited institution other than Rutgers University may pursue a second bachelor`s degree at Rutgers College. Second degree candidates must complete a minimum of 45 credits beyond those required for the initial degree, including all requirements for the new major and three liberal arts courses in a subject unrelated to the major. A minimum of 30 credits must be completed as a Rutgers College student.
Two baccalaureate degrees may not be earned concurrently except through approved dual degree programs, such as that between Rutgers College and the School of Engineering. Students who graduate from Rutgers College after completing more than one major do not earn additional degrees.
