Completion of a Major and a Minor

Students must declare and complete a major from among the disciplines and requirements listed in the Programs of Study chapter in this section. Students must declare a major and minor by the 60th credit and are expected to be making progress toward completing the requirements of their major and minor by the end of their junior year. Students may declare their major and minor by submitting a declaration of major/minor form to the Office of Academic Services or online at http://rcoas.rutgers.edu/majordec.html. Students whose major is in a non-liberal arts discipline are restricted to selecting a liberal arts minor. See the Programs of Study section for details.
