Electrical and Computer Engineering Concentration

Electrical and computer engineering is offered as a concentration within the professional science master's program described under Business and Science 137. The electrical and computer engineering concentration combines business courses with courses from electrical and computer engineering to give engineers a more industrial perspective. The science courses cover a wide range of areas including computer hardware, software, communication systems, power, and solid state electronics. Students can choose from a number of different areas and these are listed below. There are five subconcentrations in the master of business and science (M.B.S.) concentration for electrical and computer engineering:

1.    Communications Engineering
2.    Computer Engineering
3.    Digital Signal Processing
4.    Solid State Electronics
5.    Systems and Control

Students may specialize in one of the above areas; areas can also be combined. Core courses and electives are listed for those specializations. If a student has taken some of these as an undergraduate or would like to substitute others, please speak to an adviser. Elective courses are also available from the graduate programs in computer science, physics, and in other engineering disciplines.

Core courses and electives are listed below.
