Theatrical productions are tightly organized and collaborative events that require each participant to fulfill his or her responsibilities. Students must accept roles in which they are cast and production positions that are assigned to them.
Productions require being available for evening and weekend work throughout the production process. Some shows require commitments during holidays, vacation periods, and holidays (both religious and nonreligious). Students are not excused from any responsibilities, rehearsals, or performances because of the aforementioned unless approved in advance by the Executive Committee in conjunction with the director of the dress rehearsal or performance. Under no circumstances will students be released from a technical rehearsal, dress rehearsal, or performance. If a request to be excused is not approved, the student is required to fulfill the assigned responsibility.
