A minor in Africana studies requires that students complete six
courses for 18 credits in the program. Effective fall 2015, students who
declare a minor in Africana studies must take 50:014:130 Introduction to Africana
Studies as one of their six courses.
Six credits may be at the 200 level and at least 12 credits must be
at the 300-400 level. See the list of approved courses for the major.
Students also may elect to count toward the minor one of the following:
