Anthropology Minor

Course 50:070:101 Introduction to Cultural Anthropology (3) is recommended before enrolling in any upper-level anthropology courses.

Students majoring outside sociology and minoring in anthropology must take a minimum of 18 credits in anthropology. No specific courses in anthropology are required.

For sociology majors wishing to minor in anthropology, special conditions apply. Since sociology majors will already have taken 50:070:101 Introduction to Cultural Anthropology (3) and either 50:070:307 Psychological Anthropology (3) or 50:920:357 Individual and Society (3), only 12 further credits in anthropology (not applied to the sociology major) are required, for a total of 48 credits.
