B.A./M.A. Dual-Degree Program

Combined B.A./M.A. in Criminal Justice

Eligible to students with a minimum of 80 credits, the dual-degree bachelor of arts/master of arts (B.A./M.A.) program allows students to take up to 9 credits of graduate courses in their junior and senior years counting toward the B.A. Then, upon formal admittance to the graduate school, the student counts these 9 credits toward the M.A. In their junior year, qualified students are identified, informed about the program, and referred to the graduate director. The graduate program director sends the student a letter of acceptance into the dual-degree program in the spring of the junior year. A copy of this letter is sent to the records division of the Office of the Registrar and to the associate dean for graduate studies. Once admitted to the program, students may take one or two graduate courses per semester, starting in their junior year (for a total maximum of three courses). The undergraduate tuition rate is charged and the credits are double-counted (i.e., they are part of the 120 credits required for the B.A. and are also counted toward the M.A).
