Internships and Independent Study

Internships

Upper-level human resource management majors can apply for a credit-only internship provided they have completed five human resource management core classes (15 credits) with a grade-point average of 3.5 or better. Internships typically carry 3 credits. Students can only apply one internship toward their HRM major and must obtain joint approval from the program director.

Independent Study

Upper-level human resource management majors can apply for independent study credits provided they have completed five human resource management core classes (15 credits) with a grade-point average of 3.5 or better. Independent study projects typically carry 3 credits. Additional credits would require approval from the program director. Students must obtain joint approval from the program director and a faculty adviser. Typically, independent studies require a research paper approved and graded by their faculty adviser.
