School of Public Health 2022-2024 Academic Policies and Procedures Full-Time Status for Advanced Ph.D. in Public Health Students

A matriculated Ph.D. in Public Health student enrolled Fall 2018 and after is expected to remain registered full-time every fall and spring semester. Once a Ph.D. in Public Health student has passed their qualifying examination and is actively working on their dissertation research, they are considered to be an advanced Ph.D. in Public Health student.

An advanced Ph.D. in Public Health student is considered to be enrolled full-time in a semester when the student has registered for at least one (1) or more doctoral research credits in fall, spring or summer semesters. Enrollment is determined after the late registration period.

Federal and state aid programs have varying requirements of eligibility in terms of required enrollment. International students should consult with the Rutgers Office of Global Affairs regarding visa requirements in terms of required enrollment.

Please visit the School of Public Health's Academic Policies and Procedures webpage for current and more detailed information about this policy.
