It is the general policy of the university not to cancel classes because of inclement weather. However, because of the occasional hazards of night driving in the winter, exceptions may be made for evening classes and, under exceptionally hazardous conditions, exceptions may be made for daytime classes. During severe weather conditions, announcements concerning the cancellation of classes are posted on the university's homepage. Students are urged to use their best judgment regarding weather related attendance. Arrangements for makeup work are announced by individual instructors.
